My life, my passion, my story

Linejudge

Linejudging on the Dutch Championship 2009I began with playing badminton since I was ten years old. I had enough motivation to get better and I had a dream to be one of the best badmintonplayers in the world.
Since a couple of years I knew what I want to do after high school, sportmarketing. I’m good in the subject economy and I like sports. It is the perfect combination.
So I think it was september 2007, I read an advertisement on www.badminton.nl. The tournament organization was looking for people who wanted to help. I think it was my instinct that said I should look the advertisement.
I moved into a new world. A world were I should be the best badmintonplayer. Unfortunately, it can only happen in my dreams. So I gave up that dream and looked which opportunities I have now. I have a new dream: I want linejudge at the Olympic Games in 2012 and travel around the world to linejudge more tournaments. Who knows what the future will bring me, maybe I’m going to do a study for umpires or referees.
